IRMO Brief No. 3/2017 deals with the presidential elections which are to be held in Serbia in April. The incumbent Prime Minister and the candidate of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Aleksandar Vučić stands the best chance of winning the election, according to the opinion polls. Vučić’s election would confirm Serbia’s determination to uphold its European integration process, while the country seems to be divided between its EU ambitions and stronger ties with the Russian Federation. This issue of IRMO Brief also explores the reasons of Serbia’s sluggish progress towards the EU.
