The Department for European Integration

The Department for European Integration is engaged in interdisciplinary scientific research focused on the economic, legal and political development of the European Union (EU) and its relations with the candidate countries, potential candidate countries and the third countries. Internal reforms within the EU and with regard to that perspectives of Croatia as a member state are at the centre of research interests. The Department coordinates work of all IRMO researchers dealing with the EU topics in their specific areas (cohesion policy, consumer protection, industrial relations, environmental and nature protection, the role of civil society, security, migrations, etc.). In its work the Department closely cooperates with the European Documentation Centre – EDC.
