As part of her research stay at Alberto Hurtado University in Santiago de Chile, Dr. Jaka Primorac participated in the 43rd International Labour Process Conference (ILPC) held at the Faculty of Economics of Alberto Hurtado University. The topic of this year’s conference was ‘Labor Process and the Environmental Crisis in a Multipolar World’, with keynote lectures given by Prof. Dr. Matt Hubber from Syracuse University, USA; Prof. Dr. Alessandra Mezzadri (SOAS, London, UK); Prof. Dr. Dario Azzellini, Cornell University and Prof. Dr. Carlos Eduardo Martins from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The program was structured into five program lines, through which more than 250 scientists from around the world presented their work. Dr. Jaka Primorac participated in the organisation of the conference as co-chair (together with Prof. Dr. Katja Praznik, University at Buffalo, USA, Prof. Dr. Dario Azzelini, and Dr. Nayan Jyoty, University of Delhi, India) of the special program line of the conference call entitled  ‘Art Work and Creative Labor: Mapping Regimes of Exploitation, Invisible Labor, and Resistance in the Field of Cultural Production’. The special program line brought together about thirty speakers whose discussions were held in a hybrid format as part of the conference. After the conference, the University organised a study visit to the Sewell Mine, a former mining town, now a World Heritage Site.
