Job title: librarian
Maja Hoić is a librarian at the Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO) in Zagreb and a PhD candidate in Information and Communication Sciences at the University North. She graduated in Library Science and Comparative Literature in 2019 from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb.
She is an active member of the Penkala Association, and is also a member of the Zagreb Library Association.
Since 2024, she has been the representative of EuroDoc (The European Council for Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers) in the CoARA (Coalition of Advancement of Research Assessment) Working Group on Ethics and Research Integrity Policy in Responsible Research Assessment for Data and Artificial Intelligence, which participates at the EU level in shaping policies for responsible research assessment and data usage, with a special focus on artificial intelligence.
She has presented at conferences with papers covering topics such as open science, Croatian research information systems, and the impact of artificial intelligence on scientific databases, and has delivered lectures on open science and research data as part of academic programs and summer schools.
