With great sorrow and respect, we bid farewell to our long-standing and highly valued colleague Marijo Polić.
During his forty years of work at our Institute, he left a deep and recognizable mark, not only through his professional contributions, but also through his collegiality, dedication, and human warmth.
Marijo was a person one could always rely upon, a colleague who selflessly shared his knowledge and, through his approach, contributed to a positive and motivating working environment. His passing represents a great loss for our Institute and for the wider community that had the honor of working with him.
His outstanding contribution to the formulation of regional development policy, the first strategic development plans at the regional and local levels, and the launch of a series of initiatives in the field of sustainable local and regional development in Croatia will remain in lasting memory.
He will be remembered forever with respect and gratitude.
May he rest in peace.
