It is with great sadness and deep regret that we received the news of the passing of our dear colleague, long-time associate, and member of the Institute’s Management Council, Prof. Dr. Vlatko Cvrtila.
Professor Cvrtila was one of Croatia’s most distinguished experts in the fields of international relations, security studies and geopolitics, whose professional and public work left a profound and lasting mark on the academic community and wider society.
He was connected with the Institute through many years of collaboration and his work on the Management Council, where his cooperative spirit, intellectual breadth and personal integrity made a valuable contribution to its development.
In these difficult moments, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends and all colleagues.
May he rest in peace.
