IRMO researcher Jaka Primorac, PhD, associate on the CULTMED project at the Department for Culture and Communication, participated in the international scientific conference organised by the International Association for Media and Communications Research (IAMCR), held July 13-17, 2025. The conference entitled ‘Communicating Environmental Justice: Many Voices, One Planet‘ was held at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. The conference programme, which included a number of parallel sessions, panels, and plenary presentations, brought together more than 2,000 researchers from all over the world.

Dr. Primorac held a presentation entitled ‘Limits of policy responses for audiovisual industry in Europe’s (digital) periphery‘ as part of the Political Economy section, of which she is a member. The presentation was based on the results of the Horizon Europe project CresCine – Increasing the international competitiveness of the film industry in small European markets. In addition to participating in the IAMCR conference, Dr. Primorac also participated in the post-conference held on July 18, 2025, entitled ‘Scholarly podcasting: Listening, making, and knowledge sharing‘ held at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) at NTU in Singapore.
