The scientific expert team from the Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO) – Dr. Dea Vidović, Dr. Ana Žuvela, Dr. Aleksandra Uzelac, and Sunčana Franić – held a series of productive workshops aimed at drafting the Cultural Development Programme of the City of Osijek for the period 2025-2030. More than thirty participants from the cultural sector, education, and civil society took part in a structured strategic planning process with the goal of creating an inclusive and sustainable cultural development document.

Over the course of three intensive working days, participants engaged in various stages of the planning process, from conducting a SWOT analysis of Osijek’s cultural landscape and policies, to defining strategic development elements, and ultimately setting strategic priorities and implementation measures.

This participatory approach, in which cultural sector stakeholders take active responsibility for shaping the development programme, has proved to be a positive model that strengthens the local cultural community and ensures the strategy reflects the real needs and potential of the City of Osijek. The results of these workshops will be incorporated into the final Cultural Development Programme of the City of Osijek 2025–2030.
