The Institute for Development and International Relations, Zagreb, under Article 51 of its Statute, Class: 007-02/23-01/01, Registration number: 251-768-08-23-4, dated 16 September 2023, and Article 40 of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette: 119/2022) announces a
VACANCY
for a associate position of Senior Assistant at the CULTMED project – Interdisciplinary Research of Cultural and Media Policies and Practices: Developmental and Democratic Potentials of the Department of Culture and Communication – one researcher (m/f).
A contract will be signed for a fixed term of 38 months, with a 6-month trial period.
Requirements:
- obtained academic degree of Doctor of Science in the scientific area of humanities, field of philology (cultural studies);
- excellent command of the Croatian and English language.
Applicants need to enclose:
- written application containing the applicant’s personal data (name and surname, residential address, telephone number and e-mail address for contact, and the name of the position for which the application is being submitted);
- curriculum vitae (description of previous work);
- bibliography of scientific and professional works;
- proof of required academic degree (copy of diploma, etc.). The applicant who obtained a higher education qualification abroad must provide a certificate of evaluation of the foreign higher education qualification issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education or proof of the initiation of the procedure of evaluation of the foreign higher education qualification from the Agency for Science and Higher Education;
- proof of proficiency in English (certificates, transcript of records, works published in the foreign language, etc.).
The employer will carry out a selection procedure which will especially evaluate the following:
- interest in research topics from the field of work of the CULTMED project – Interdisciplinary Research of Cultural and Media Policies and Practices: Developmental and Democratic Potentials of the Department of Culture and Communication (cultural development and cultural policies),
- experience of working on international competitive scientific research projects in the field of cultural development and cultural policies,
- published scientific/professional works in the field of cultural development and cultural policies,
- presentations at international scientific conferences in the field of cultural development and cultural policies,
- ease of verbal expression in spoken and written form in English, ability to deliver public presentations.
