IRMO’s role in this project is to provide expert support in the development of action plans that are part of the SOCRAT project (Socializing Craft & contemporary Art for sustainable Tourism), funded under the INTERREG VI Italy – Croatia 2021-2027 cross-border cooperation programme. The project aims to promote sustainable tourism development and empower communities on the Italian and Croatian Adriatic coasts by mobilising tourist itineraries based on contemporary art, crafts, creative and cultural industries and civil society. The project seeks to respond to common territorial challenges such as over-reliance on seasonal tourist flows, insufficient cooperation between artists and local authorities and the authenticity of the tourist offer. IRMO will carry out the following tasks:
