IRMO’s role in this project is to provide professional support in the process of improving sustainable cultural tourism in the area of Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Support is related to the “Med Routes” project, which is supported by Romagna Faentina Union from Italy, and the Regional Development Agency of Dubrovnik-Neretva County is a partner in the project. The goal of “Med Routes” is to establish and expand a locally based model of sustainable tourism, with minimal adverse impact on cultural routes in the Mediterranean area. Through the project, ecological itineraries will be designed that will improve the local cultural and tourist offer while respecting the principles of sustainability and circular economy. IRMO provides professional support related to the identification of stakeholders, the creation of a Roadmap forms for cultural routes, that is, the creation of a Roadmap for the olive route, void workshops with key stakeholders to identify elements for creating an eco-itinerary, creates an eco-itinerary related to the olive route, creates a form for producing strategies for the promotion of new small eco-itineraries and creates a strategy for the promotion of eco-itineraries on the olive route, organizes training for institutional actors, i.e. operators and companies, and participates in other project-related activities.
