The call for applications to the ‟Media Literacy Incubator: Countering the Impact of Disinformation in Croatiaˮ has been extended to 4 May at 12:00 (noon). The event will take place on Friday, 15 May 2026, in Zagreb, bringing together young people interested in media literacy, democracy, and critical thinking. The Media Literacy Incubator is part of the ‟ChangingTIDE – Changing Together to Inform, Debunk and Empowerˮ project, funded under the EU CERV-2025 programme. It aims to strengthen participants’ ability to recognise and counter disinformation, while encouraging active democratic engagement. Through a combination of expert-led panel discussion and interactive workshop, participants will explore the impact of disinformation on society and develop practical skills for analysing media content.

The programme is open to a group of 25–30 young people aged 18 to 30 from EU member states or eligible countries with an interest in media literacy. A good command of English is required since the language of the event will be English. Participation is free of charge, and selected participants may receive travel reimbursement. In addition to the main programme, several participants will have the opportunity to further continue their engagement through a mentorship programme focused on developing public awareness campaigns on disinformation.
