Jaka Primorac, PhD, the CULTMED project associate, participated from October 21-25, 2025, in the October School 2025 program, which was held in Komiža on the island of Vis with the thematic focus of ‘Moving Beyond Collapse: Reimagining Institutions’. The school was organised by ISSA (International Summer School of Art), Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb (MSU), and the Museum of the Commons project, founded by a network of museums and cultural institutions united under the name L’internationale.
The school gathered more than 100 scientists, cultural workers, artists, representatives of the cultural sector, and activists in the field of culture and art. The program consisted of a series of lectures, seminars, and workshops, in which Dr Primorac participated within the school. Among the presenters, we would highlight the presentations by Prof. Kristin Ross from NYU, Palestinian writer and university professor Adania Shibli, political economist David Adler.
The school took place at the Ivan Vitić Cultural Centre, the Memorial House in Komiža, and on the ISSA School’s premises. More about the program, speakers, and the School’s guidelines on the website.
