Damir Demonja, a Research Adviser at the Department of International Economic and Political Relations of the Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO), published a scientific article entitled “The Overview and Analysis of the State of Rural Tourism in Croatia” in scientific journal Sociology and Space of the Institute for Social Research (IDI), Zagreb. The article brings up description and critical comments on the state of rural tourism in Croatia. Based on the results of previous research as well as on more recent data, it analyzes the state of rural tourism both in Croatia and in general. The analyses of tourist facilities, capacities, grant and incentive programs are also provided. Finally, it proposes guidelines for sustainable development of rural tourism in Croatia. It should be noted that the journal is indexed in the database SCOPUS, as well as in the following databases: Sociological Abstracts, Worldwide Political Science Abstracts and Social Services Abstracts.
