The issue No. 11/2016 by Krševan Antun Dujmović deals with the general election which was held in Montenegro on 16 October. In this small Balkan state which gained independence just ten years ago, the election day was marred by a tense atmosphere which reached its climax during the alleged coup. A few days after the election Milo Đukanović who has rued the country for more than a quarter of a century, withdrew his candidacy for Prime Minister in the new term. This issue of IRMO Brief also explores the capacity of the new government headed by Duško Marković to keep up the accelerated pace to join NATO and the EU.
