Maja Hoić, librarian at the Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO), successfully participated in the 6th OpenAIRE Open Science Train-the-Trainer Bootcamp, held online from December 4 to 8, 2024. This program brings together experts from across Europe to equip trainers with the skills to promote and implement Open Science practices.

The bootcamp, organized by OpenAIRE (Open Access Infrastructure for Research in Europe), focused on developing skills and knowledge related to key aspects of Open Science, including:

  • research data management,
  • tools and infrastructures for open access,
  • supporting researchers in sharing their results openly, and
  • ethical and legal issues related to Open Science.

Upon completing the program, Maja Hoić earned the Train-the-Trainer certification, which comes with a commitment to conduct at least one training session or workshop on Open Science within the next year, whether at her institution, in her country, or within her local community.

These activities further strengthen the role of IRMO’s library as a resource for supporting IRMO researchers in adopting Open Science practices, improving the visibility and accessibility of research outputs, and aligning with European and international standards.

More information about the program is available on the official OpenAIRE website: 6th OpenAIRE Open Science Bootcamp.
