Krševan Antun Dujmović, M.Sc., participated at the International Forum entitled Geopolitical Shifts and Their Impact on Regional Sovereignty held in Baku, Azerbaijan from 7th till 10th April 2025.
Eighty international experts and representatives of research institutes and think tanks from 44 countries around the world participated in the Forum, which was co-organized by ADA University and the Center for the Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) based in Baku. During the Forum, participants discussed with the President of Azerbaijan H.E. Ilham Aliyev a variety of regional and global issues, including the situation in the South Caucasus, war in Ukraine, the security architecture in Europe, the new US administration’s relations with the region, and Azerbaijan’s importance for the energy security of the European Union.
The conference participants also visited the city of Khankendi, which was occupied by Armenian forces until the Second Karabakh War. In 2020, the Azerbaijani armed forces liberated this area within the Karabakh region.
A forum entitled “Geopolitical Shifts and Their Impact on Regional Sovereignty” was held at the Karabakh University in the city of Khankendi, and the participants of the forum witnessed first-hand the efforts of the Azerbaijani government to rebuild Karabakh and return internally displaced persons to the Karabakh region.
