Krševan Antun Dujmović, M. Sc. participated at the ‘Third Security, Science and Peace Conference’, organized by the World Academy of Arts and Sciences and the Croatian branch of Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs (an international organization that won the Nobel Peace Prize), held on 12 January, 2024, in the premises of the Independent Union of Science and Higher Education.

This year, thematic panels dealt with the areas of global transformative leadership, on how to ensure sustainable peace and human security, the role of Europe in global multipolarity, the new world economic and security order and the new superpowers, as well as nuclear security and scientific diplomacy.

Ana Jerković, vice-president of Pugwash Croatia and associate member of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences, Paolo Cotta Ramusino, general secretary of Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs, and president of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences Garry Jacobs spoke at the opening of the conference.

IRMO representative Krševan Antun Dujmović participated at the panel moderated by Zvonimir Šikić, president of Pugwash Croatia, on the new world order and economic superpowers, in which the Ambassador of India H. E. Raj Kumar Srivastava, Ambassador of Australia H. E. Richard Mason Rodgers and EUBusiness President Haris Boko also took part.

The conference was closed by academician Ivo Šlaus, honorary president of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences and the member of the international council of Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs. The conference was held in partnership with the portal Ideje.hr.
