Based on Article 48(1) of the Institute’s Statute, Class: 007-02/23-01/01, Reg. No.: 251-768-08-23-4 of 16 September 2023, the Institute for Development and International Relations, Zagreb, hereby announces a
PUBLIC CALL
for the appointment to the scientific position of Scientific Advisor in the scientific field of social sciences, area of economics, at the Department for International Economic and Political Relations, one position (m/f).
The employment relationship is established for an indefinite period, with the obligation of re-election or promotion to a higher position every 5 years.

Requirements:
Applicants must meet:
- the criteria prescribed by Article 39(1) and (3) of the Law on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette 119/2022),
- the criteria prescribed by the Ordinance on Conditions for Election to Scientific Titles (Official Gazette 28/2017, 72/2019, 21/2021, 111/2022; hereinafter: the Ordinance),
- additional criteria prescribed by the Ordinance on Additional Conditions for Appointment and Reappointment to Scientific Positions at the Institute (Class: 007-02/23-01/08, Reg. No.: 251-768-11-23-1 of 7 December 2023),
- excellent command of Croatian and English, both spoken and written.
Applicants must submit:
- An application stating personal details (full name, address, contact phone/mobile number, email address) and the title of the position and Department applied for,
- Curriculum vitae with a description of previous work (including date of birth, citizenship, academic qualifications, foreign language skills, career history, memberships in scientific associations, awards, etc.),
- Proof of academic qualifications (for applicants who obtained qualifications abroad: a recognition decision/opinion issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education or proof that such a request has been submitted),
- Copy of proof of election to a scientific title (if applicable),
- List of published scientific papers (applicants not previously elected to a scientific title must also submit relevant publications in PDF format in accordance with the Ordinance),
- Proof of meeting additional criteria prescribed by the Institute’s Ordinance on additional conditions,
- Extract from the Croatian Research Information System (CroRIS) listing all publications relevant for the position,
- Certificate of publication visibility and citation issued by an authorized library,
- Proof of English language proficiency (certificates, diplomas, transcript copies, publications in English or Croatian, etc.),
- Proof of Croatian language proficiency at C2 level (for foreign nationals only),
- Electronic record or certificate containing data registered in the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute database.
A selection procedure will be conducted with applicants who meet the formal requirements.
General provisions
The employer will agree on a 6-month probation period with the selected candidate. As part of the selection process, the employer may also conduct testing of applicants who meet the formal requirements. Applicants will be informed of the time and method of any such testing via the email address provided in their application.

Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
