The conference “Securing Europe’s Future” held on November 21 and 22 in Warsaw, before start of the Polish Presidency of the EU’s Council was attended by the researchers from the Department for European Policies Jakša Puljiz, PhD and Hrvoje Butković, PhD. The conference was jointly organized by the Trans European Policy Research Association (TEPSA) from Brussels and the Institute for European Studies of the Jagiellonian University from Krakow. The meeting discussed the goals and priorities of the upcoming Polish Presidency, as well as the situation in selected areas of European policies. The conference stimulated high-level discussions between researchers of the TEPSA network, in which IRMO represents Croatia, and Polish policy makers, researchers and civil society members. Jakša Puljiz, PhD, participated at the conference as the moderator of the panel entitled “Europe’s Competitive Edge” which featured the following speakers: Erik Jones, PhD, from the Robert Schuman Center for Advanced Studies of the European University Institute, Artur Nowak-Far, PhD, from the Department of European Integration and Legal Studies of the Warsaw School of Economics, and Tomasz Kasprowicz, PhD, from the Visegrad Insight – Res Publica Foundation.
