IRMO hosted scientists from the Royal Elcano Institute from Madrid and opened a number of common research topics such as the cooperation of the Mediterranean EU member states, EU enlargement to the countries of the Western Balkans and the development of the European security policy.
The opening presentation was given by the director of Elcano Institute, Charles Powell and the director of IRMO, Sanja Tišma. Scientists Ignacio Molina, Mira Milosevich, Jorge Tamames, Raquel García Llorente, Ana-Maria Boromisa, Sandro Knezović, Jakša Puljiz, Senada Šelo Šabić and Krševan Antun Dujmović participated in the discussion.
