Pursuant to Article 51 of the Statute of the Institute (consolidated text), Class: 007-02/23-01/01, Reg. No.: 251-768-08-23-7, the Institute for Development and International Relations, Zagreb announces
A PUBLIC CALL
for the systematized associate position of Assistant in the Department for International Economic and Political Relations, one employee (m/f), for a fixed-term contract until the return of an employee currently on parental leave. The expected return of the employee is in December 2026.
Gendered terms used in this announcement are neutral and apply equally to both male and female applicants.
Requirements:
In addition to the general employment requirements under Article 39, paragraphs 4 and 6 of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- completed university graduate degree in the field of social sciences, scientific field of political science;
- additional criteria prescribed by the Ordinance on Additional Criteria for the Selection of Assistants, Appointment of Mentors, and Evaluation of Work of Associates and Mentors, Class: 007-02/23-01/06, Ref. No.: 251-768-08-23-1 of 27 December 2023

Applicants must submit:
- application for the call;
- CV (email contact address, general information, educational details, obtained qualifications and academic degree);
- proof of required level of education (copy of diploma, etc.);
- proof of fulfilling additional criteria prescribed by the above Ordinance;
- proof of English language proficiency (certificates, transcripts, works published in the language, etc.).
A probationary period may be agreed for the position.
Persons of both sexes may apply for the competition on an equal basis.
Applications with the supporting documentation must be submitted within 30 days from the publication of the call in the Official Gazette (Narodne novine).

The selection process is conducted in accordance with the Ordinance on Additional Criteria for the Selection of Assistants, Appointment of Mentors, and Evaluation of Work of Associates and Mentors.
