Job title: Scientific advisor with tenure, Head of Department for International Economic and Political Relations
Ana-Maria Boromisa is research adviser with tenure, head of the Department for International Economic and Political Relations and manages the project International Relations – Determinants of Resilient Sustainable Development – MO4R. She took her doctorate at the Economics Faculty in Zagreb (2004), a master’s in European Studies, College of Europe, Natolin, Poland (1995) and her first degree at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Zagreb (1994). She works at the Institute for Development and International Relations in Zagreb since 1996. She was a member of the Croatian Energy Regulatory Council (2001-2005) and of the IRMO management board (2006-2012). In the period 2013-2017 she was the president of the IRMO Scientific Council.
Her research interests relate to energy and climate. In these areas Ana-Maria Boromisa manages projects, publishes papers, teaches, presents papers and gives speeches at lectures and conferences. She teaches at master and PhD in the Republic of Croatia (the University of Zagreb, University Libertas) and abroad (joint programme of the University of Trier and University Yantai). She writes and speaks in Croatian and English, and also uses French and German.
