Job title: Research assistant
Matea Roknić works as a Research Assistant in the Department for European Integrations. She obtained her Master’s Degree in International Relations at the Libertas International University, Zagreb, in 2021. She simultaneously attended the integrated study programme for instrumentalists (harp) at the Academy of Music, University of Zagreb, and the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Split, where she received her Master’s Degree in Kinesiology in 2023. During her university studies, she was regularly awarded a scholarship from her hometown of Kraljevica. During the academic year 2016/2017 she received the Dean’s Award, and in 2019/2020 she made the Dean’s List at the University of Zagreb. She worked for the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia from 2018 to 2022, where she also graduated from the Ministry’s Diplomatic Academy. Her research interests span across a wide array of topics, but are mostly focused on European integrations and sports and culture within the context of international relations. She is fluent in English and Italian and has working knowledge of Spanish.
