Building Trust under Difficult Conditions – Kosovo/Serbia and the View of the Neighbours

Prishtina and Mitrovica, 18-22 September 2024

Sandro Knezović, PhD, a Research Adviser at the Department of International Economic and Political Relations of IRMO participated at the international conference titled “Building Trust under Difficult Conditions – Kosovo/Serbia and the View of the Neighbours” that was organised by the PfP Consortium of Defence Academies and Security Studies Institutes, together with KIPRED Institute and NGO Aktiv in Prishtina and Mitrovica, Kosovo, from 18 to 22 September 2024.

The conference focused on regional political and security trends in Southeast Europe considering long-lasting instabilities in Kosovo. Special emphasis was placed on the challenge of trust-building, which represents a growing challenge to the democratic consolidation of Kosovo and other countries in the region.

The conference gathered numerous representatives of civil society, state administration and diplomatic missions, as well as of the academic community. As a representative of IRMO, Knezović, PhD, actively contributed to all panel discussions and development of concrete policy recommendations that would be published in a joint publication, and used the opportunity to promote the Institute and its activities.
