Nina Obuljen Koržinek held a lecture on “Transforming cultural institutions: searching for good practice examples and viable models”

Nina Obuljen Koržinek, postdoctoral fellow at the Department for Culture and Communication held a lecture about the reform of cultural institutions in Central and Eastern Europe at the Faculty of Communication, School of Art and Cultural Management of the Istanbul Bilgi University.

Obuljen Koržinek analysed transition processes and reforms of cultural policies since 1990 until today with special emphasis on reforms of the system of financing and managing of cultural sector. The aim of this lecture was to analyse both good and bad practice examples of cultural transition in order to reflect on the proposed future reforms of the Turkish cultural sector. Beside graduate and post-graduate students of the School of Art and Cultural Management, the lecture was also attended by Istanbul cultural professionals. The lecture was followed by an hour long debate.
