IRMO researchers and CULTMED project collaborators  Ana Žuvela and Aleksandra Uzelac participated in the programme of the international scientific conference “Cultural Development and the Future of Cultural Policy” held on 15th and 16th April 2025, in Kotor. The conference was organised by the University “Mediterranean” in Podgorica in partnership with the scientific journal Cultural Trends, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media and the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation of Montenegro.

Dr. Žuvela delivered a keynote lecture titled In Quest of Creating Emancipatory Cultural Policy in Transitional Countries. Joining her in the discussion on the need to transform cultural policy into a common good was the Montenegrin Minister of Culture and Media, Dr. Tamara Vujović, who emphasised the importance of an inclusive and participatory approach in shaping cultural policies.

Dr. Aleksandra Uzelac gave a presentation titled Case Study Culturelink: Re-examining the Network’s Legacy as Inspiration for Transformative Cultural Policies, which she prepared in co-authorship with Dr. Dea Vidović.
