The Polish research group Badaczki i Badaczke na Granicy held its third international seminar on the topic “Researching, Archiving, and Creating Memory: Methodologies and Ethics of Research (and Activism) on the Border.” The seminar took place at the Polish-Belarusian border and brought together more than 40 researchers studying the European migration and border regime. Among the participants was IRMO researcher Emina Bužinkić, who presented her work “People’s Tribunals on Migrant Deaths and Disappearances: Justice Matters and Ethics.” This research is being developed as part of her independent study on feminist and abolitionist ethics and methodologies in alternative justice-seeking processes. Last year, Bužinkić conducted part of her research on the feminist ethics and methodology of the Women’s Court with the support of the Ecumenical Women’s Initiative.
