IRMO participated in the third partner meeting of the “More than a Village” (MTaV) project, held on October 9th and 10th in Murska Sobota, Slovenia. The meeting was organized by ITC. Daniela Angelina Jelinčić and Danijela Hrman participated in the meeting on behalf of IRMO.

On the first day, after discussing the current project status, ITC (leader of WP2) presented the next steps in transforming the vision and strategy of smart villages into three pilot actions. The pilots have started implementation in five regions of Central Europe (South Warmia/Poland, Liguria/Italy, Hajdú-Bihar/Hungary, Pomurje/Slovenia, and Istria/Croatia).

At the end of the first day, three study visits to local stakeholders were organized. The first visit was to a short food supply chain, Green Point, established by local farmers, food producers, and cooperatives, where sustainable agricultural practices were presented. The Hudo Dobro Association and the House of Gibanica presented Prleška and Prekmurska Gibanica made from local products, preserving the region’s traditional crafts. The visit concluded at Kodila Gourmet, which impressed with the authentic flavors of regional meat delicacies.

On the second day, the meeting was jointly coordinated by the leaders of WP2 and WP3 (ITC and IRMO). The project partners presented the pilot projects’ implementation statuses. ITC presented the upcoming activities planned in WP2, while the IRMO representatives outlined the forthcoming activities under WP3, which they will take over on April 1, 2025. Emphasis was placed on the importance of transnational cooperation among the pilots and potential risks.
