IRMO participated in the “More than a Village (MTaV)” second partner meeting that took place in Genoa, Italy on 12- 13 March. Meeting was organised by ANCI Liguria (ANCIL), the association of municipalities of the Liguria region. Daniela Angelina Jelinčić, Sanja Tišma and Danijela Hrman participated in the meeting on behalf of IRMO.

During the first day of the meeting ANCIL held a brief presentation of their activities in Villa Serra in Genoa. Poliedra (research and consultancy centre of Milanʼs Polytechnic University), the WP1 leader, presented the joint strategy and action plan to be finalized within the project. The Joint Strategy will collect knowledge about smart villages, experiences, and examples of smart villages together with description of tools and smart solutions for creating and implementing a smart village.

Specific objective of the Transnational Action Plan is to transform smart village vision and strategy into 3 pilot actions. Pilots will be implemented in five regions of Central Europe (South Warmia/Poland, Liguria/Italy, Hajdú – Bihar/Hungary, Pomuria Slovenia and Istria/Croatia).

At the end of the first day, ANCI Liguria (ANCIL) organised study visits to two local stakeholders. First, ADM – Didactic Museum Association located in municipality of Campomorone and second, La Victoria Sanctuary located in municipality of Mignanego.

On the second day of the visit, the meeting was jointly coordinated by the WP1 and WP2 leaders (Poliedra and ITC). Project partners presented their Action Plans and initial ideas for implementation of the pilots. ITC presented activities foreseen in the WP2. Important issues for pilot action implementation were put forward followed by the discussion on common issues, risks, and cooperation during the implementation of the pilots. At the end of the second day, a study visit to Old city of Genoa was organised.
