On 15 February 2015 and in the context of the European year for Development, the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the European Commision co-organized a thematic day on the occasion of the start of the European year for development in Croatia. The day began with a round-table on the topic „Transformation from a recipient of development aid into a donor – lessons learned from transitional and post-conflict experiences in the new developmental agenda“. Senada Šelo Šabić, PhD, research associate at the Institute for Development and International Relations, participated in this round-table as a speaker. A round-table on the topic „The Croatian contribution to the development policy of the EU“ followed.
After a welcome speech by the President of the Croatian Parliament, speeches were held by the First Vice-President of the Croatian Government and Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić on the topic „Croatian development assistance“ as well as by European Commisioner for International Cooperation and Development Neven Mimica on the topic „European year for Development 2015“.
