The second issue of IRMO Briefs analyzes the Croato-Polish Adriatic-Baltic-Black Sea Initiative comprising twelve Central and Eastern European countries. After a historical introduction and overview of earlier attempts to unite the geographical area between the three seas, the Brief deals with concrete suggestions regarding economic cooperation that have been put forward at the initial meeting in New York. Finally, the authors consider possible hurdles in the realization of set objectives and offer policy recommendations for the period until the next meeting of countries involved in the Initiative in Croatia.
