In the organization of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Human Rights from Vienna, a meeting of the initiative in support of civil society in Bosnia and Herzegovina was held on 21 January 2015 in Sarajevo. The aim of the meeting was to define concrete steps and activities for the initiative in 2015, formulated on the basis of the conference on civil society in Vienna that was held under the title „Civil society as a factor for change in Bosnia and Herzegovina“. This initiative was formed after the recognition of the potential transformative possibilities of civil society in Bosnia and Herzegovina after the recent protests in the country.

Partners of the initiative include the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Human Rights, the Austrian Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs, the Renner Institute, the ERSTE Foundation, the Central European Initiative, the EU Special Representative in BiH, as well as representatives from Germany, the UK, Sweden, Italy, the US, Slovenia and Croatia. Senada Šelo Šabić, PhD, research associate at the Institute for Development and International Relations, also participated at the meeting.
