Within the framework of the ForHeritage project, IRMO joined Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY).  IVY is an initiative led by the European Solidarity Corps, and their mission is to involve young people aged 18 to 30 in transnational, interregional and cross-border projects as volunteers . IIVY was founded in 2017 and is managed by the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR). The purpose of volunteering in the Interreg project is to help IRMO in communication activities and training, and to promote cooperation and social cohesion in the local community and beyond. The main goal of IVY is to contribute to cross-border cooperation while fostering civic engagement and European affiliation. By volunteering at IRMO, a volunteer can expand their knowledge and experience in cultural management, especially in heritage management, and in the future can apply these specific skills in career development as well as personal growth. As far as the host organization is concerned, this role can be taken over by any Interreg program, national body and project beneficiary from the EU, EEA, IPA-CBC or ENI-CBC. IRMO is proud to be able to offer such an opportunity to young professionals.
