Hrvoje Butković, Scientific Adviser from the Department for European Policies participated in the 2026 Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) Conference, held in Poznań, Poland, from 14 to 16 September 2026. Organised by the Regional Studies Association (RSA) in partnership with the Poznań University of Economics and Business, the conference was held as part of the celebrations marking the University’s 100th anniversary. The conference, entitled Resilience, Realignment, and Renaissance: Regional Transformations in Central and Eastern Europe, brought together researchers and experts to discuss key economic, social, demographic and territorial transformations across Central and Eastern Europe. At the conference, Hrvoje Butković presented the paper focused on internal migration as an insufficiently addressed aspect of Croatia’s demographic challenges and highlighted its relevance for the development of more comprehensive demographic and regional policies.
