Central European Day of Energy (CEDE) is an annual event organized by Central Europe Energy Partners (CEEP) in cooperation with the DG Energy of the European Commission.

As a partner organization of CEEP, Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO) contributed to the preparation of the event and seeks to promote Central European Day of Energy in Croatia and in its neighboring countries.

CEDE aims to consolidate a regional energy platform that reflects the region’s perspective on the development of the European energy policy and highlights the accomplishments and challenges faced by regional stakeholders in the implementation process.

The 3rd CEDE on 5th November edition focused on cross-border energy cooperation in Central Europe.

The high-level conference aims to bring together more than 100 stakeholders from the European Institutions, national administrations, energy and energy-intensive companies, academics, experts and journalists from EU – 11, in order to provide an exchange forum between participants and to consolidate a regional energy platform, among them Maroš Sefčovič, Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of the Energy Union, Jerzy Buzek, Member of the European Parliament, Chairman of ITRE Committee and other high-level EU officials.

CEDE 2018 enjoys the support of the Visegrad International Fund and is held under the Auspices of the Slovak Presidency of the Visegrad Group.

Other CEEP’s partners in organization of the 3rd Central European Day of Energy are Romania Energy Center, Vytautas Magnus University, Slovak Foreign Policy Association, Instytut Sobieskiego, Foundation for Regional Policy Cooperation in Energy and Infrastructure and CSD Energy Advisors.
