The 2nd International Youth Forum on Belt and Road Initiative was held on 26 to 28 December 2018 in Hangzhou, China. The main organizer of the Forum was the Academy for International Strategy and Law of the Zhejiang University; and IRMO was one of the co-organizers along with Vilnius University from Lithuania, Jagiellonian University from Poland, International University of Sarajevo from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albanian University, Institute of International Politics and Economics from Serbia and Metropolitan University Prague from Czech Republic. The forum aims to become a platform for international youth to conduct extensive exchanges on Belt and Road Initiative issues. This year’s forum focused on the relations of Central and Eastern European countries with China, as well as 16+1 platform. Over 100 students, professors, authors and editors of the publication participated in the forum.

As the representative of IRMO, Research assistant Anastasya Raditya-Ležaić delivered a welcome speech during the opening ceremony of the Forum, and later was a panelist in the “The Future of 16+1” panel. IRMO’s post-doc Marina Funduk, PhD also participated in the Forum. The main output of this forum is also a book on the Belt and Road Initiative for which RadityaLežaić is one of the authors. The book will be soon published by the Academy of International Strategy and Law of Zhejiang University.
