The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Croatia organized on the 27th of February, 2024, at the Westin Hotel in Zagreb, a conference under the title “Khojaly genocide: Responsibility for the crimes of genocide  and measures aimed at their prevention.”

IRMO representative Krševan Antun Dujmović moderated this conference, which marked the tragedy that happened on 26th February 1992 during the first Karabakh war between Azerbaijan and Armenia (1988-1994).

H. E. Mr. Anar Imanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Croatia, addressed the conference at its beginning, followed by panellists who argued whether this brutal massacre should be qualified as genocide from the perspective of international criminal law.
