IRMO scientists Marina Funduk, PhD and Anamarija Pisarović, PhD in co-authorship with Vera Tadić, PhD from the Croatian Diplomatic Club published the book entitled ‘Women in Diplomacy of the Republic of Croatia’ published in 2023 by Novi Redak and the Institute for Development and International Relations. The review of the book is signed by Prof. Damir Grubiša, PhD and Prof. Goran Bandov, PhD and the foreword is written by Prof. Vesna Pusić, PhD.
The book represents the first attempt at a more systematic review of the participation of women in Croatian diplomacy and their position in terms of gender. The conducted research covers the period from the establishment of the Republic of Croatia to the 2020-is. It questions the role of women in diplomacy, their position in relation to the “dominant” position of men, their roles in the family and their attitude towards career.
