Project goal
The Parkadapt2 project aims to explore the best world and EU practices in the planning and management of nature parks, adapted to climate change, including a list of the most common and most significant recognized impacts and adaptation measures. The objective of the project is to explore the state of integration of the climate change topic into the nature park management plans in the Republic of Croatia, in the segments of the identification and monitoring of impacts, trends, risks and opportunities, the implementation of mitigation and adaptation measures and educational activities. The goal is also to strengthen the capacity of nature parks in the Republic of Croatia through the dissemination, discussion and application of the acquired knowledge and experience through the Pilot Project in the Nature Park Medvednica and to strengthen the capacity of nature parks for the preparation and application to EU funding programs with a thematic focus on the adaptation of protected areas management to climate changes.
