At the 11th gathering of the National/Nature Parks employees held in Makarska from October 25th to 27th 2017, Marina Funduk, PhD from the Institute for Development and International Relations presented the results of two projects co-financed by the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund titled ′Climate Change in National Parks of the Republic of Croatia: Management and Development Options – Parkadapt1′ and ′Climate Change in Nature Parks of the Republic of Croatia: Management and Development Options -Parkadapt2′.

Main aim of the Parkadapt1 project was to identify the extent to which climate change is monitored in National Parks in the Republic of Croatia, while the main aim of the Parkadapt2 project was to observe and monitor climate change in Nature Parks in the Republic of Croatia.

Presented results include: two prepared Current Analyzes, one for National Parks areas and another for Nature Parks areas, two Action Plans for pilot areas – Action Plan for Climate Change Adaptation National Park Risnjak and Action Plan for Climate Change Adaptation Nature Park Medvednica, as well as the Handbook for drafting action plans for climate change adaptation in National Parks and Nature Parks in the Republic of Croatia.
