The aim of the project is to support the development of sustainable tourism in Montenegro through the analysis of the current situation, the creation of quality standards and the building of the capacity of service providers. Within the framework of the project, the following will be done: 1. Analysis of the current state of sustainable tourism in Montenegro, 2. Creation of a database and directory of stakeholders in the sector, 3. Establishment of sustainable tourism standards that are harmonized with EU practices and organization of trainings and 4. Workshops for tourism service providers. Role and responsibility of IRMO: 1. Development and transfer of knowledge: leading the development of sustainable tourism standards and ensuring their compliance with EU guidelines, 2. Workshops for the development of standards: organizing 12 workshops, from January to December 2026, for key stakeholders in Montenegro in order to adapt the standards to local needs, and 3. Professional support and training: education of tourism service providers in Montenegro to apply the standards.
