The authors provide the analyses of the skills gaps facing small and medium sized enetrprises in Croatia. They argue that the current system of education and training is failing to meet the needs of SMEs and that a reform of training system is needed to reduce the mismatch, which is of critical importance to an improved competitive performance of the sector as Croatia approaches the full membership of the EU.
