In cooperation with the German political foundation Hanns-Seidel and the Association for the Study of Croatian Political History “Neda Prpić-Gamiršek”, IRMO is conducting the project Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency in the Cities and Municipalities. The project aims to raise awareness about the causes and consequences of climate change, possible options of energy saving, and the use of renewable energy sources. This project is carried out through seminars and workshops, and by preparation of a manual. Four seminars will be held for officials coming from different cities and municipalities in Zagrebačka, Sisačko-Moslavačke, Bjelovarsko-Bilogorske and Brodsko-Posavske Counties, and a series of workshops will be organized intended for the private sector, artisans and citizens of the same areas. The manual (available in Croatian language only) provides an overview of renewable energy sources and typical energy efficiency measures, with possibilities of using them. It also outlines the obligations of local and regional authorities, and the opportunities that might arise from them.
