Cultural Development Strategy of the City of Karlovac for 2025-2029.

The Project deals with the development of the Cultural Development Strategy of the City of Karlovac for 2025-2029. The Karlovac City Development Plan for 2021-2030 includes culture and management of cultural heritage as one of the areas for which development needs and potentials are defined, and the Cultural Development Strategy of the City of Karlovac 2014 – 2024 laid the foundations for encouraging, developing and improving cultural activities that contribute to the development and improvement of the city’s cultural life. In addition to 5 public institutions in culture, there are also a significant number of cultural associations and the Union of Associations operating in Karlovac. There is also a significant number of cultural assets that are on the list of the Register of Cultural Assets of the Republic of Croatia. City budget funds are allocated for various cultural activities such as programs, manifestations and projects, the management of cultural assets, for the revitalization of the cultural-historical complex of Zvijezda (Karlovac old town) and for the attraction of cultural tourists. Based on that, a strategic document for the new period will be developed by the IRMO and coordinated by the Center for Sustainable Development through Culture (CORK).
