IRMO Research Adviser, Sandro Knezović, PhD, participated in the Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum held in Bucharest from 12 to 13 May. This is an international security and defence forum that brings together experts, diplomats, and institutional representatives from Europe and NATO member states. The forum focuses on security challenges in the Black Sea and Balkan regions, particularly in the context of current geopolitical developments and the war in Ukraine.
Dr. Knezović took part as a speaker in the panel “The Strategic Triangle of the IMEC, Three Seas Initiative and Danube Corridor,” organised in partnership with the Institute for Development and International Relations. He spoke about the Three Seas Initiative from Croatia’s perspective, as well as the opportunities it offers for strengthening the EU’s strategic autonomy. He also addressed key challenges affecting the further development of the Initiative.
