We invite you to join us to the round table “The European Union at a turning point: main challenges and impact on Croatia” which will be held on Wednesday, 12 February, starting at 10 am at the European Commission Representation in Croatia, Augusta Cesarca 4-6 in Zagreb. The round table is jointly organised by the Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO) from Zagreb and the European Commission Representation in Croatia. The aim of the event is to promote the recently published book “Crisis Era European Integration: Economic, Political and Social Lessons from Croatia” by the renowned publisher Routledge from London and to stimulate a discussion on the development perspectives of the European Union and Croatia within separate thematic panels.

After the book presentation, the first panel of the round table will consider the issues of further institutional development of the European Union and its member states at the beginning of the new political cycle of the European institutions. The second panel will discuss the challenges of turning the financial benefits of EU membership into long-term advantages for Croatia. The estimated duration of each panel is about an hour, including time for questions from the audience. The program of the round table is attached.

To participate in this event, please register by Thursday, February 6th: https://forms.gle/TBvRg7wjKzK2kBARA
