IRMO Expert Advisor, Krševan Antun Dujmović, M.Sc., participated at the General Assembly of the Global South NGO Platform held on 14th May 2026 in Baku, Azerbaijan, within the framework of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
Participants of this General Assembly, organized by Agency on State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, included leaders of influential non-governmental organizations and civil society representatives, from over 50 countries, including Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Pacific, under the theme “the Global South Speaks.”
The idea for the creation of the Global South NGO Platform was conceived during the international conference on South-South cooperation of NGOs held on the sidelines of the Climate Conference COP29 in Baku. Azerbaijan’s efforts to foster active dialogue between the Global South and the Global North culminated in the “Baku Breakthrough” achieved during COP29.
WUF is organized in Baku from 17 to 22 May 2026 under the topic: “Housing the World: Safe and Resilient Cities and Communities.”
The Global South NGO Platform featured its inaugural event on increasing inclusion, urban resilience, disaster risk reduction, and sustainable waste management at the initial part of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
