Hrvoje Butković, Scientific Advisor from the Department for European Policies, participated in the exchange meeting of the project ‟Empowerment of migrant workers for a sustainable future: training and retraining for green and digital jobs – EMERALD” which was held in Brussels on 10-12 December. As part of the meetings, the IRMO representative presented Croatia’s previous experiences in the field of adult education and reskilling/upskilling for foreign workers, while the representative of the Ambitio College, Alen Stranjik, presented draft content of the planned national training courses for the reskilling/upskilling of foreign workers in the field of green and digital jobs. As part of the meeting, a visit was organized to the Brussels organizations Cité des Métiers and EFP & SFPME, which are active in this field. The EMERALD project, which started at the beginning of the year, will be implemented until October 2027. The project is coordinated by the Soleterre from Milan in partnership with IRMO, Ambitio College and a dozen other renowned organizations from several European countries. Project promotes the establishment of a public-private cooperation framework for the development of training in sectors that are experiencing high demand for green and digital skills.
