The publication “Croatia and international financial institutions: 30 years of cooperation” published by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Croatia and the Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO) was presented on 6th of December 2023, at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zagreb. The book was edited by Jakša Puljiz, PhD, from IRMO and Hrvoje Mršić, director of the Directorate for Macroeconomic Analysis, the European Union and International Financial Relations in the Ministry of Finance.

With the participation of the Minister of Finance, Marko Primorac, PhD and the dean of the Faculty of Economics, Sanja Sever Mališ, PhD, the book was presented by one of the editors Jakša Puljiz, PhD. Authors of individual chapters are Nevenka Čučković, PhD and Ana-Maria Boromisa, PhD from IRMO, Silvija Belajec, Domagoj Čipčić, Irina Obućina, Sanja Flegar and Jadranka Hajdinjak from the Ministry of Finance and Ana Budimir from the Faculty of Political Science from Zagreb.

The book three decades of cooperation between the Republic of Croatia and international financial institutions and enables the general public to gain a deeper insight into the character of the cooperation itself. Among international financial institutions, the book covers the World Bank Group, the International Monetary Fund, the European Investment Bank Group, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Council of Europe Development Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank Group, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the European Stabilization Mechanism. The book is connected to the previous work published by IRMO in 1996 under the title “Croatia and International Financial Institutions: World Rules for Guiding Development”.

The presentation of the book was followed by a panel discussion on cooperation between the Republic of Croatia and international financial institutions, moderated by Jakša Puljiz, PhD, in which the following researchers participated: Slađana Ćosić, head of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Group in Croatia, Vedran Panjković, deputy director of the office,of the  European Bank in Croatia (EBRD), Jehan Arulpragasam, Director of the World Bank for Croatia and Slovenia, Macedonian Mateska, Country Manager for Croatia at the Development Bank of the Council of Europe (CEB) and Josip Pavković, member of the Management Board of the Croatian Bank for reconstruction and development (HBOR).
